Home Alone

The film is about an eight-year-old boy who is accidentally left alone at home by his family. He successfully prevents a theft in his house and harasses the thieves, who are later nabbed.

Sanskar, a Class VII student of St Xavier’s High School, loves the movie. “This is an inspirational movie, not only for children but for people of all age groups. It inspires me to be bold and courageous and to keep fighting despite all odds,” he says.

Stanley Ka Dabba

It’s a story of a Class IV boy, Stanley, who is harried by his teacher for not bringing lunch box to school. The teacher later realises his mistake and quits the school.

Shubhangi, Class IX student of Patna Central School, feels this movie should be included in every film fest. “This movie made me emotional. I realised the importance of a family and a mother in my life. Earlier, I did not like having the same lunch every day. Now, I know I am lucky to take a lunch box to school. Most children do not even get two square meals a day,” she says.

Taare Zameen Par

Ram Shankar Nikumbh, an art teacher, helps a child suffering from dyslexia gain confidence. The child goes on to win a drawing competition as well as the hearts of his teachers and parents.

Shreyas Singh finds the movie “extremely inspirational” for every child. The Class X student of International School says: “The movie has funny scenes and brilliant music, but amid all that, it conveys a strong message to parents who force their opinion on their children without considering their challenges.”

Chillar Party

The movie is about a group of boys, named Chillar Party, who hate dogs but eventually launch a campaign to prevent the killing of a mongrel, Bhidu. The movie shows how the fate of a group of kids changes with the help of a friend.

Amara Subul loves the movie. “The best part is when the children gang up to achieve their mischievous design. The movie has a lot of comedy and it shows how children can help others who are born without the basic facilities,” the Class IX student of St Joseph’s Convent High School says.

Toy Story

The first movie of the Toy Story series deals with toys that come to life and have a blast the moment human beings exit the scene. The adventures of the toys give out message of unity and honesty.

Even though toys play the protagonist of the film, Vaibhavi Prerna finds the story full of life. “The movie has a message that everything in this world has life and feelings. Therefore, nothing should be ignored. Everyone, from a human being to a tree, from a pet to a bird, should be treated with care,” the Class IX student of Baldwin Academy says.

Bumm Bumm Bole

The story is about two siblings — Pinu and Rimjhim — who have only one pair of shoes and they take turns in wearing them to school. Walking through the difficulties, the children win the battle of life through a race, at the end.

Isha Vaidehi salutes the bond between the siblings in the film. “The way the little angels solve such big problems is inspirational. Their never-say-die attitude is what makes the movie so entertaining and motivating,” the Class VII student of St Joseph’s Convent High School says.

MY TAKE

When life becomes a pleasure field

You may realise, you may not
When you reach the turns of the road,
There always remains
something altered,
There always remains some stones unturned
Which you wish could
remain as such,
Which you wish do
not ever rust.
This is what has kept
you walking,
Inspite of falls and numb dozing,
This is what,allows
your smiles
Amidst sorrows of
various styles .
Embrace them with
an open heart
For you never know, when they get lost
Acknowledge them as the reason for your existence
Because they taught you lessons of will and persistence.
They were the ones who transformed into a shield
To make your life a
pleasure field...

When things go the other way round
When life stands sans any scene and sound,
When destiny gives you a hundred reasons to cry
They bestow a thousand reasons to smile .
They do not allow you to fall
When fate makes you journey for miles
Without them you would have been
struggling for survival
As they toiled hard for your
life's revival .
Do enjoy the warmth of their relation
For it prevented your shiver during
disconsolate situation.
For the orchard of your
life — which you enjoy with such a pride —
They had sown the seed —
To make your life a
pleasure field...

When tears are the only thing that
the eyes showcase ,
Their shoulders become a place where
you find solace .
Do not ever forget what
they did for you
