Need a priest? Finding it difficult to visit various shops to buy puja samagri (material)? City boys Keshav Kumar and Rajan Kumar have set up a website that aims to solve your problems.

At www.devotionalsolution.com, you can order puja material a day before you want it delivered, but for booking a priest you need to order at least four days in advance.

The duo launched their facility on July 1, and they also have a Facebook page.

Right now only residents of the Patna City area can avail the service, but Keshav promised Devotional Solution would soon serve all parts of the city.

"If there is urgency, you can book priest the same day you require but the charges would be more. Around 20 priests are associated with our organisation," said Keshav, who is doing his computer science engineering from KS Institute of Technology, Bangalore. He handles the online work and his younger brother Rajan - a first-year BSc student at Admerit Institute, Patna - is looking after deliveries.

The website has received orders for puja material worth around Rs 3,000 but no order for a priest yet.

"It will take time to spread the word. People here still don't know about our work," he said.

The charges for priest are different depending upon the type of puja.

"For Satyanarayan Puja, one would have to pay something between Rs 551 and Rs 1,000, while for grih pravesh, one needs to pay something between Rs 2,000 and Rs 4,000 while grah shanti puja would cost one Rs 2,000 and for mundan and janeu ceremony one would have to shell out something between Rs 5,000 and Rs 10,000."

Keshav and Rajan come from a family of priests, and the website idea came to Keshav when he saw clients of his father Prabhakar Thakur and grandfather Suresh Thakur (both of whom were priests) struggling to collect puja material.

"We are providing all material to our clients right from akshat to flowers to everything. They need not hop from one shop to another to buy the puja material," said Keshav, adding that there is no extra charge for home delivery of puja material.

Vineet Singh, a Patna City-based businessman, said he had bought puja material from Devotional Solution after finding "searching for puja material an uphill task".
