Patna, April 19: Power consumers would soon see a more friendly and efficient side of the Bihar State Power (Holding) Company Ltd.
The power holding company would impart training to its non-engineering employees so that they are well-equipped to provide all kinds of facilities to the consumers.
This is being done to make the company a customer-friendly organisation and to suggest ways on how to execute various schemes on time.
“The power holding company has decided to impart training to its engineers and non-technical employees so that they can serve the customers in an efficient manner. The company has already been imparting training to the engineers. But now, the non-engineering employees would also be given training to handle issues concerning the consumers,” a power company official told The Telegraph.
The employees of the power company and its subsidiaries would be imparted training in a phase- wise manner.
The company had organised a two-day training for its engineers last year at Rajgir.
The company has constituted two committees to prepare a training module for the employees. The committees would also suggest the topic and period of training and selection of trainers and places of the training.
A power company source said: “The purpose of providing training to the employees is make them aware about ways to provide better services to the customers, to make the company’s image customer-friendly, to increase revenue collection, timely completion of the projects and schemes and also to make them aware of the possible loss that the company may incur because of violation of rules.”
