Engineering course exam dates
Association of Minority Professional Academic Institutes on Tuesday announced that the common entrance exam for admission in BTech and B-Pharma courses would be held on June 5.
While addressing a news meet on Tuesday, the body announced that the exam would be held in 26 centres across the country. The common entrance exam is for students to secure admission into top ranking engineering and healthcare colleges of Bengal.
Admission to various colleges will be decided on the basis of ranks obtained by students in the common entrance exam. The total number of seats available is 1,260.
"The application form costs Rs 200 and can be applied both online and offline. It will be divided into three parts; 100 marks for mathematics and biology each and 150 marks for physics and chemistry," said secretary Sardar Sohan Singh. "The exam can be taken in English and Hindi. There will be no negative marking."
Admission
Shiv Nadar University announced admission procedures for its undergraduate programmes on Tuesday.
While addressing a news meet, Rajiv Kumar, a computer science professor at the university, said: "One can apply for bachelor of arts, bachelor of science and bachelor of technology courses till May 31. The application forms are available on the university's official website, www.snu.edu.in. The faculty members from leading universities across the world, including Cambridge University, Cornell University and Harvard University.
The university also announced launch of a new bachelor's programme in management studies under the aegis of the school of management and entrepreneurship. The university has announced that it has earmarked a scholarship fund of Rs 35 crore for its undergraduate students.
