Students celebrate their Intermediate commerce results in Patna on Tuesday. This year, 80.87 per cent of the students have cleared the examination. Priya Kumari and Saniya Parveen were among the best-performing students this year. Priya, the daughter of a small grocery owner in Dumraon, and Saniya Parveen, the daughter of a roller helper working in the public works department, are stories of success in face of struggle. Priya, who wants to become a civil servant officer, said: "I have seen my father having a hard time meeting our educational needs with his monthly income of around Rs 15,000. He has to sustain a family of six with his nominal income. I want to become a civil servant so that I can directly contribute to society's development." Saniya has a different dream - to become a bank officer. The girl from Dehri-on-Sone in Rohtas will soon start preparing for the banking service examinations while attending college.
