Power bill Camps Special trains Plea snub Clean chit Trade fair

Power bill

Patna: Consumers will now be able to pay their electricity bills through the Internet and ATM counters of Canara Bank. nergy minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav would inaugurate the facility at state electricity board’s headquarters on Wednesday. The move would benefit around 3.25 lakh consumers.

Camps

Patna: Rural development minister Nitish Mishra said the state government would organise special camps across all 534 blocks on Wednesday to distribute passbooks to about 1.5 lakh beneficiaries of Indira Awas Yojana.

Special trains

Gaya: Railways would run special trains on January 11 and 12 between Gaya and New Delhi for Kalchakra devotees. The train would leave Gaya junction at 7.30pm on both days.

Plea snub

Patna: Special CBI judge Vijay Kumar Srivastava on Tuesday rejected the dischage petition of Netai Kumar Sen, former assistant of Banka treasury, and Nand Kishore Tiwari, former accountant of Banka treasury, in a fodder scam case.

Clean chit

Patna: The district administration and the health department on Tuesday gave a clean chit to an NGO for allegedly carrying out tubectomy on 53 women by unqualified persons. However, the NGO, Jai Ambe Welfare Society, was issued a showcause notice for distributing medicines that crossed the expiry dates.

Trade fair

Muzaffarpur: The 2nd National Trade Fair, Expo-2012, would be organised at Khudiram Bose Football Ground in the district from February 2 to 13.
