Patna: Two unidentified criminals, on a motorbike snatched a gold chain from one Munni Devi at the CDA Colony area under Shastri Nagar police station on Friday around 2pm.

Chhapra: Saran district magistrate Vinay Kumar has taken strong exception to the manner in which supervisors under Bal Vikas Pariyojana (child development project) have been appointed. He has instructed the deputy development commissioner, Sushil Kumar, to probe the matter and report to him in three days.

Ex gratia

Patna: Chief minister Nitish Kumar on Friday announced an ex gratia payment of Rs 3 lakh to Siddique Ansari, a father of a 10-month-old boy, Naushad, who died in the police firing in Araria district on June 3.

Patna: State Bank of India felicitated Shashi Krishna Kumar and Suman Kumar, both toppers of Intermediate commerce and masters in arts (history) of Mithila University respectively, and gave token gift of Rs 7,551 to each of them.
