Power union protest

Patna: Members of Bihar-Jharkhand Rajya Vidyut Parishad Field Kamgar Union took out a rally and staged a demonstration on Monday to protest against the decision of Bihar State Power (Holding) Company Limited to appoint distribution franchisee in different cities. he union members have threatened to go on an indefinite strike from April 1 if the power company does not meet their demands.

New centre

Patna: A nodal nurse-training centre was inaugurated by Norwegian ambassador Eivind S. Home on Monday at Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences. Besides imparting training, the centre would also work towards strengthening other centres.

Shop robbed

Patna: Owners of Lakshmi Enterprise on Monday found that robbers had decamped with electronic gadgets worth more than Rs 5 lakh from the wholesale outlet at Colony Mor under the jurisdiction of Kankerbagh police station.

Training

Patna: Bank of India Muzaffarpur branch had conducted an induction programme for newly appointed clerks from February 11 to February 16 at Chandralok hotel in the town.

Patna: A six-day dairy farming programme organised by PNB Sawarojgar Vikas Sansthan (a wing of Punjab National Bank) concluded on Monday. Animal and fish resources minister Giriraj Singh was the chief guest.

Patna: The high court bench of Justice Dinesh Kumar Singh on Monday granted anticipatory bail to 12 people, made accused in case of attack on chief minister Nitish Kumar’s cavalcade during his visit to Khagaria on September 27, 2012.
