Violence probe

ATM murder

Muzaffarpur: Santosh Kumar, an ATM guard of Axis Bank, was found murdered inside his cabin at Chatarbhuj Sthan under Mithanpura police station in the small hours of Thursday. The suspected killers made an abortive attempt to breaking open the ATM machine.

Coin fair

Patna: A coin distribution fair was inaugurated at the Bank of India’s main branch in the city. A bank press note said the fair, which would continue till March 1, was to motivate people to use more coins in low transactions.

Pilgrims hurt

Patna: At least 30 pilgrims from Nepal were injured, eight of them critically, when a bus carrying them overturned and fell into a ditch in Supaul district on Thursday.

Patna, Feb. 27: Criminals shot dead Sudarshan Paswan, a terror of Kosi belt, in Saharsa district on Wednesday night. is body was recovered from Barahi East village under Sonebarsa police station on Thursday. The body was sent for post-mortem.

Patna: Inspector-general (prison directorate and correctional services) Prem Singh Meena has asked the district magistrates to beef up security in divisional jails and sub-divisional jails ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
