National honour for law college

Purnea, Nov. 18: Students of Braja Mohan Thakur Law College will now be able to reap the benefits of being a part of an accredited institute. For, the autonomous college was recently granted recognition by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

Anant Bharti, secretary, Braja Mohan Thakur Law College, told The Telegraph: “Our consistent efforts to provide quality education and better infrastructure have helped students. In recognition of our efforts, the NAAC has given us B grade.”

NAAC is an autonomous body under the University Grants Commission to evaluate the performance of education institutes across the country.

This year, besides the law college, Patna Women’s College department of education and Millat Teachers’ Training College, Madhubani, have also been accredited.

Students of the law college were upbeat about theachievement of their alma mater.

Sumit Bharti, a second-year student, said: “We will be able to get jobs easily after passing out of an accredited college. It will now be recognised all over India. I am very proud to be a student of a prestigious college.”
