Patna: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has missed the deadline for uploading on its website the model papers for the Matriculation and Intermediate exams, the question pattern for which is to change from next year.

The board had last month decided to change the examination pattern by focusing more on objective questions. To make students acquainted with the changes, the board had announced it would upload model papers of all matriculation and Intermediate subjects. The examinations are scheduled for February next year.

According to the school examination calendar, the model papers for the Intermediate arts, commerce and science streams were to be uploaded on its website by November 10. Similarly, for matriculation, the model papers were to be put up by November 15.

But the board hasn't met the deadline. In matriculation, the board has to upload five sets of model papers for Hindi, English, Mathematics, Science and Social Science. On November 15, only those of Hindi (paper I and II) were uploaded. The BSEB is yet to upload five sets of model papers in the remaining four subjects.

For Intermediate examinees, the wait is longer. The board was to provide the papers for 16 subjects across three streams (science, arts and commerce) by November 10. But even after a week, the board has uploaded model papers in only 10 subjects.

Worse, the papers have mistakes galore - grammatical and spelling errors abound - and they don't adhere to the syllabus.
