Patna, Jan. 15: Aditya Vikram, a Class V student of Don Bosco Academy who went missing on Friday afternoon, returned home today.
An officer at Patliputra police station, where a missing complaint had been lodged, said Adiyta had scored low marks in a class test and ran away fearing a rebuke from his parents. After school, he went to P&M Mall and then to Patna Junction. He spent the night at a godown.
Patliputra police station house officer Krishna Prasad said: “After spending the night at the railway station, Aditya went to his maternal uncle’s house on Exhibition Road on Saturday afternoon. His maternal uncle brought him home this morning.”
Aditya’s father, Ravindra Prasad Singh, is an assistant manager with Union Bank of India at Jehanabad. The family lives at Maharaja Complex under Kotwali police station.
In a missing complaint, lodged on Saturday, the boy’s parents had claimed that he was poor in studies and used to go to the Mandiri area for private tuitions. The police had formed a team led by city superintendent of police Ms Kim, and raided various places in the capital but were unable to track the missing boy.
City-based psychiatrist Vinay Kumar said: “Students who are unable to cope up with the pressure of studies do such things. They should not be pressurised unnecessarily. Parents should try to understand their problem.”
