Patna, Dec. 25: Bhojpuri actor and singer Manoj Tiwari has planned a musical gift for Bihar’s centenary celebrations.
Manoj has composed and performed the song, Jai Bihar Jai Jai Bihar Teri Maati Badi Mahaan, which would describe the qualities of his state.
Although the artiste has not yet officially approached the state government, he plans to gift chief minister Nitish Kumar the song on the first day of the new year. “I have not yet contacted any official of the state government about the song. But I want it to be officially launched by Nitishji. As the entire state will celebrate its centenary year, I also wanted to contribute something as a Bihari,” said Manoj.
The song, however, is not in Bhojpuri, but in Hindi. “It took me more than a month to prepare myself for the song that describes Gautam Buddha and Mahavir. It is a 12-minute-long number recorded in Mumbai. I found the song very soothing and energetic and I am sure the people would think the same when they hear it,” said Manoj.
