Shambhavi, Deshna and Mahika
Father: Ashok Choudhary
Best memory: A lot of them. But when daddy was elected the BPCC president, I was really proud of him.
Plan for the day: I (Shambhavi) have my birthday the same day. So I have decided to stick to dad’s favourite food rather than putting my wish list forward. We will stay at home and spend some quality time.
Gifts: Little things he likes with loads and loads of love.
My dad is: The greatest support in my life. From dull days to those filled with laughter, he has always been there. He has made all of us proud. And the only aim I have is to make my dad proud. I’m learning to follow in his footsteps and be a better human being.

Ishit Yamini
Father: Yogendra Krishna
Best memory: I was thinking of good memories with my dad and was not surprised to realise that I have plenty of them. I would like to share one such best memory. When I shifted to Delhi to pursue my post-graduation and rented a flat two years back, all my roommates used to ask their parents for extra money in the name of house rent. I, too, got excited about the idea to grab the chance of getting some extra pocket money to shop or party with friends. Therefore, I called up my dad and lied to him about the house rent. The very next day I felt very guilty and called him up and confessed everything. I was afraid to confess because I felt he will not trust me again in future. But when I called up almost bursting into tears he started laughing and said “Jhuth nahin bola jata to kyon bolti?” That day I realised I could say anything to him without the fear of losing his trust because he understand me the most. Only a parent is capable of such an amazing virtue. My father is my hero, my first love. I owe him for making me believe that I can always count on him and I don’t have to be afraid. I can confide in him about everything.
Plan for the day: I don’t believe Father’s Day is just a matter of a single day. I want to make my dad feel special every day.
Gifts: I am making a handmade card for him with our old pictures as he really likes creativity.
His words: I remember one of his sayings which has become a quote for me: Don’t bother about the opinion of others if you have formed your own with great conviction, even if they are your parents.
My dad is: A writer, a poet and an officer in the Bihar Legislative Council. He’s quite assertive at times. The sense of freedom and independence that he instilled in me and my sister helped me find my take on life.
