Patna, Sept. 9: Imran Khan and Katrina Kaif were appreciated by college students, who bunked lectures to watch them together for the first time on the silver screen at theatres today.
Mere Brother Ki Dulhan received a positive response on the first day of the release with most calling it a twisted love story.
Eleven shows of the film are being screened in three different theatres, including Regent, Mona and Cinepolis.
Regent cinema saw an early gathering of film buffs, including school and college students, as the first show was scheduled at 8.45am.
Ratnesh Kumar, a Class XII student of KVS, Kankerbagh, said: “I have seen Imran’s last film Delhi Belly in which he looked wicked but in this film, he sports a different look. Both Imran and Kat have given excellent performances and it seems they have good chemistry on-and off-screen.”
The flick from the Yashraj stable produced by Aditya Chopra has impressed viewers who left theatres talking about the love story full of comedy and emotion.
“The characters of Kush Agnihotri (Imran) and Dimple Dixit (Katrina) are made for each other and it was evident that Katrina would marry Imran. The Pakistani actor, Ali Zafar, who has essayed the role of Imran’s younger brother as Luv Agnihotri, has done a good job. John Abraham’s guest appearance, too, is cool as he looked gorgeous,” said Parul Pandey, a student of Arvind Mahila College at Mona theatre.
