Patna, April 30: The results of Indian Certificate for Secondary Education and Indian School Certificate-2016 exams will be announced on May 6, two weeks earlier than in previous years.
"The results of both exams will be declared at 3pm," read a notice issued by the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations on Friday.
The results will be available online. Students can also receive them via SMS. Schools can access the results online by logging on to the "Careers" portal of CISCE ( www.cisce.org) using the principal's login ID and password. To get the results over SMS, a student has to type ICSE or ISC and the seven-digit unique ID and send it to 09248082883.
"The new system has made everything easy," said International School director Farhat Hasan. "All examiners were provided with a tab and a digital pen that helped them publish the results quickly."
A total of 3,200 students appeared for the Class X ICSE exam and 1,000 appeared for the Class XII ISC exams from Patna this year.
Manjari, a commerce student of Mount Carmel High School, said: "I thought the results would be declared by the middle of May as usual."
