Personality development is an ongoing process and no magic wand can groom a youth overnight, said National HRD Network, Patna, secretary Manoj Kumar Sinha.
“Knowledge, grooming, dress code and etiquettes — all these things together form one’s personality,” he told students of Magadh Mahila College on Thursday at a seminar-cum-interactive session on “Personality development and career of choice”.
Organised by the career management and counselling cell of Magadh Mahila College in collaboration with Rotary Chanakya and Inner Wheel Club of Patliputra, the seminar was attended by around 300 students of different departments of the college.
Besides Sinha, clinical psychologist Samidha Pandey delivered a speech. While answering a student how she can overcome her hesitation while speaking on stage, Sinha said: “Those who have stage fear should find opportunities to speak. It has been found that extrovert people have a lot of friends but the introvert ones stick to a very small circle. Everyone who has a stage fear, should expand the circle, make new friends and visit new places and try to develop the habit of questioning.”
Pandey talked about career prospects of psychology students. “Students who are interested in this subject can do a course in industrial and organisational psychology to be employed in private firms.”
