The government has asked Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) to hold the standing committee meeting to approve the no-objection certificate for the solid waste management project.

Urban development minister Prem Kumar recently wrote a letter to PMC commissioner Pankaj Kumar Pal. Kumar said: “The standing committee of the civic body needs to clear the proposal to issue the no-objection certificate.”

PMC additional commissioner Chandrma Singh said the proposal for issuing the no-objection certificate would be tabled in the next meeting of the standing committee or the PMC board. Pal could not be contacted.
