Children take part in a painting competition organised by the NTPC eastern region headquarters at planetarium in Patna on Tuesday. Around 100 students from various schools, including St Michael’s High School, Loyola High School and DAV-Shastrinagar, took part in the competition. The theme of the painting competition was energy conservation. Sanjit Kumar, manager (HR), NTPC eastern region-1, said: “Around 23,000 students from government and private schools of the state took part in school-level competition, which started in July and ended in October. Of these students, 100 were selected for the state-level competition on Tuesday in A and B categories. The first three winners of A category and the winner of B category would be sent to the national-level competition, scheduled to be held in Delhi on December 12.” The 100 participants were given a cash prize of Rs 1,000, a T-shirt and a cap each.
