| Prasenjit Duara, director, humanities and social sciences research, National University of Singapore, deliver a lecture, “Sustainability and the crisis of transcendence: The long view from Asia”, organised by Nalanda University on Monday. He said: “In today’s perspective, water is the biggest problem for all nations and the next world war will be fought for water.” To maintain ecological balance, he emphasised the need for mutual co-operation of all countries. Ashok K Kantha, secretary (east), ministry of external affairs, Nalanda University vice-chancellor Gopa Sabharwal and Nalanda University dean (academic planning) Anjana Sharma attended the lecture series at the Bihar Industries Association hall in Patna.
