Flash mob

Students organised a flash mob at P&M Mall on Thursday under Tarumitra, a non-government organisation.

Highlighting the quality of regular drinking water in the city, thye event featured a fusion dance of several popular melodies, Salsa, Hiphop, Kathak and Free style.

Aditi, a student of Patna Women's College addressed the crowd. She said: "Of the ten samples of water from different locations of the capital which were tested, the water from Patna had all the essential minerals necessary for human life."

Workshop

A seven-day summer workshop, was organised by Vichitra, the school of fine arts and crafts from May 29, came to an end on Thursday.

Participants brushed their talents in fields such as sculpture making, painting and quilling. A painting exhibition was organised on the last day of the workshop to showcase the sculptures and paintings made by the participants. there were mentors for every category, who coached the children.

Managing Director of Vichitra, Patna Madheshwar Dayal said: "Our organisation is committed to provide a platform for advancement of art. It is necessary to inculcate the love for arts in children. "

Book release

Renowned author and governor of Goa, Mridula Sinha, delivered a lecture at Bihar Industrial Association auditorium, Patna, on the issue of preservation of trees on Thursday evening.

She planted saplings and appealed to the people of Bihar to plant more trees around them.

She released the 100th edition of the monthly magazine Panchwa Stambh, Mahatma Gandhi Aur Sarvoday by Om Prakash Pandey and Abhay Kumar and Himachal Guide by Sunil Kumar.
