A government teacher posted at Navodaya Vidyalaya in Nawanagar, Buxar, allegedly submitted a fake transfer certificate (TC) to admit his son to the educational institution.

Nawanagar block development officer A.K. Singh confirmed that he had been recently directed by district magistrate (DM) Vinod Singh Gunjial to look into the matter, which came to light when the school clerk Upendra Narain Singh wrote a letter to the DM accusing the chemistry teacher of the school, Surendra Jha, of the anomaly.

Jha was not available for comment.
