Contractual doctors of Bihar are firm on their decision to boycott the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) examination scheduled on Saturday.
Members of Bihar Health Services Association (BHSA) held a meeting with the Bihar State Contract Doctors’ Association (BSCDA) and Contract Doctors’ Association (CDA) members at the IMA Hall on Friday to chalk out a strategy on how they would boycott the BPSC examination.
The state government has decided to regularise the services of the contractual doctors on the basis of the BPSC examination but the contractual doctors want service regularisation on the basis of walk-in interviews on the lines of Delhi and Haryana.
“We are tensed thinking about what would happen tomorrow (Saturday). We have decided to boycott tomorrow’s exam. However, we are also worried what would happen next,” said Dr. Abhishek Kumar Sinha, the general secretary of CDA.
BHSA spokesperson Dr Ranjit Kumar said: “The doctors associated with CDA have decided to boycott the exam. The BHSA has extended its moral support to the Contract Doctors’ Association. It is obvious if they have taken the decision to boycott the exam there would be pressure on them.”
