Art lovers watch murals at a two-day exhibition organised at a city hotel on Sunday. The gallery with more than 60 artworks on wood pieces depicted different stages of life. “The paintings and the artworks are inspired from random thoughts. I don’t want to get confined to a single style. I am still experimenting,” said Rashmi Lohia, a fashion designer graduate-turned-artist. The titles of the paintings — celebration of life, moksha and journey to peace— depicted Buddha, Krishna, abstracts of women, rural India and beauty. “It took me more than two years to complete this work. The artwork is not all about woodwork. I have used different hues and shades to depict my thoughts. The colours are the best way to reveal emotions,” Rashmi said.
