Patna: Jharkhand CM Raghubar Das on Sunday urged the Bihar government to ensure daily hearing was conducted in the Muzaffarpur shelter home case and accused the Opposition of "dirty politics".

Speaking at the Teli Sahu Samaj programme, he said: "I request day-to-day hearing of the case takes place so that the culprits are punished quickly.

"The state government has recommended CBI investigation. The chief minister announced that the government will pray for a high court-monitored probe. The NDA government would ensure that the guilty are punished," the Jharkhand chief minister, a member of the BJP, added after praising the Bihar government for acting quickly.

He then trained his guns at the opposition parties. Referring to the RJD protest in Delhi, which was attended by Congress president Rahul Gandhi, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and CPM's Sitaram Yechury among others, Das said: "Such dirty politics! If these leaders had any sympathy for the girls they would have braved black badges and kept mum but they were busy getting photographed. They used the occasion to spit venom at the RSS and BJP. They were more interested in attacking the Narendra Modi government and Nitish babu."

He also equated the RJD and Congress with evil forces. " Bihar mein asuri shaktion ko phir se wapas nahi aane dena hai (Don't let evil forces make a comeback)," he said at the programme attended by senior BJP leaders, including Sushil Kumar Modi, Bihar unit chief Nityanand Rai and ministers in the Nitish cabinet.
