Patna, Feb. 21: The juniors of Magadh Mahila College’s bachelor of business administration (BBA) department organised a farewell party for the final year students on the college premises today.

The outgoing batch was treated to a good time at the party where they recalled their first days in college.

Inaugurating the event, College principal Dolly Sinha said: “Consistency and hard work are extremely essential in life. Students should always be laborious and give work their preference. The BBA department has always performed well. The visiting faculties of the department have always put up good work. Girls who pass out of the college should also do the same.”

The event conducted by Ankita, Archana, Jyoti Patodia and Aparna Shekhar among others had superb performances in store for the final year students. The Jai Ho performance from the Oscar-winning Slumdog Millionaire drew wide appreciation.

Department co-ordinator Meera Verma also had advice in store for the students. She said: “All of you should work in such a manner that you succeed. Your success should be an example for others to learn from. Even if you do not succeed, do not worry. Learn from your failures.”

The farewell function also gave away prizes to the outgoing students. While Priyanka Verma bagged the title of Miss BBA, Ratan Priya and Shruti Sinha stood second and third respectively.

Priyanka has not only represented the country in a youth exchange programme at Saarc, but has also been the best NCC cadet.

Shruti was also adjudged Miss Cosmos, while Sonal Sinha clinched the Miss Personality crown.

Visiting faculty members S.K. Khandelia, P.K. Agrawal and Ashok Kumar judged the girls.

Students with the highest attendance and highest marks in the internal examinations were also honoured today.

Sanghamitra Singh, one of the outgoing students, said: “This is really a great way to leave our college days behind. The juniors treated us to a really good time. I had a great day with my friends and teachers.”
