Chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi gets his fingerprints scanned as part of the biometric registration process to enrol for Aadhaar cards in Patna on Friday.Manjhi later inaugurated a drive to encourage people to enroll for Aadhaar cards. Till now, people were getting Aadhaar cards done through various agencies such as banks and post offices. This is the first time the rural development department has started enroling people for the Unique Identification Development Authority of India project after which they would get Aadhar numbers through the National Population Register scheme.
