Chhapra, Aug. 8: Lok Seva Aashram, Sonepur, had organised a national-level programme of music and dance keeping alive a 70-year-old tradition on Sunday.

The programme is held every year in the memory of Baba Ram Lakhan Das Udasin, who was a great admirer of classical music. Das was a freedom fighter and used to organise such events.

There is a belief that whoever performs here is destined to achieve national and international fame. Many stalwarts like Bismillah Khan, Godai Maharaj, Kishan Maharaj, Shyam Das Mishra, Brij Bala Devi have performed here earlier.
