Varsity youth arrested

Patna, Sept. 3: A second-year student of Chanakya National Law University was arrested today for eve-teasing and harassing a student of Patna Women's College.

The girl, who was allegedly mentally harassed by the boy, had complained to the Shastri Nagar police station and had also sent a message to deputy inspector general (central range) Shalin regarding the same.

Operation

Patna: During combing operations at Chakarbandha forest at the Gaya border on Saturday, the CoBRA battalion on Saturday destroyed many Naxalite camps. A short encounter followed, but no casualties have been reported yet.

Police meet

Gopalganj: Police on Saturday met all the district chowkidars asking them to immediately report any suspected incident or case of illicit liquor being served or manufactured to the police.They would be held responsible and action will be initiated against them in case of such incidents.

Strike

Patna: Hindustani Awam Morcha Secular on Saturday called a strike in the Bhojpur region on September 5 demanding the study of Bhojpuri language in Veer Kunwar Singh University, Ara.

Road meet

Patna: Road construction minister Tejashwi Yadav on Saturday convened a review meeting of 15 mega projects underway in Bihar including the station road flyover, Lohia Path Chakra. Tejashwi also discussed problems of land acquisition and instructed officials to speed up work.
