Doc strike

Gopalganj: Doctors on Monday went on strike to protest against the manhandling of a doctor at Manjha two days back at the sadar hospital.

They locked the out patient department and about 500 patients had to return after waiting for hours.

Encephalitis

Muzaffarpur: Doctors at Shri Krishna Medical College and Hospital detected 14 confirmed cases of acute encephalitis syndrome on Monday. Nine of the patients are admitted at the hospital.

Patna: Bihar Human Rights Commission on Monday awarded a compensation of Rs.50 thousand to Manju Devi, an HIV-positive pregnant woman, ho had complained of being harassed by a doctor at Aurangabad Sadar Hospital.
