Body found

Katihar: The body of an army jawan was recovered from Mahiarpur village under the jurisdiction of Manihari police station on Sunday.

The deceased was later identified as Manjeet Singh, a member of the Sikh regiment.

Threat

Sitamarhi: Physician Dr Nagmani has apprehended threat to his life after he refused to pay Rs 30 lakh as extortion money allegedly demanded by the associates of the notorious Mukesh Pathak gang. Mukesh's name had figured in the murder of two engineers of a private firm in Darbhanga in December last year. An FIR was lodged against unidentified people on the statement of the victim.
