Chief minister Nitish Kumar's son Nishant Kumar celebrates his 37th birthday with his father at 1 Aney Marg in Patna on Thursday. Among those present at the celebrations were close relatives and Rajya Sabha MP and close Nitish aide RCP Singh. Nishant, a computer science graduate from BIT-Mesra in Ranchi, lives with his father but shuns the limelight. He had earlier declared he would never join politics. Nishant was last seen with his father at a public function during Prakash Utsav on January 6 and before that on November 20, 2015, when Nitish took oath as chief minister for the third consecutive term. According to the latest annual assets declaration this year, Nitish - with assets worth a little over Rs 16 lakh - is poorer than his son who has assets worth Rs 1 crore.
