One dead in clash

Patna: One person was killed and six others were injured in a clash between two groups of criminals over harvesting of crops in Gyandih diara in Naugachhia police district on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Ranjeet Yadav.

Condolence

Patna: Chief minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday expressed grief over the demise of Union labour minister Shish Ram Ola.

Success tips

Patna: A seminar, Educational Inclusion: Ensuring success to all, was organised on the premises of State Council of Educational Research and Training on Sunday. Education principal secretary Amarjeet Sinha was present at the event.

Patna: Holy Angel’s Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School, Chennai, stood first and Don Bosco School, Calcutta, came second in the final round of Sudha All India Inter-School crossword contest in Delhi on Saturday.

Award

Patna: E-governance initiative Elecon, which is a joint initiative of the office of chief electorate officer, Bihar, and National Informatics Centre, has bagged CSI Nihilent e-Governance Award for 2012-13.

Clean-up drive

Patna: Congress workers on Sunday initiated a cleanliness drive near Sadaquat Ashram under the supervision of party president Ashok Choudhary.
