Suspected rebel in net with arms
Jamui: Security personnel engaged in combing operations in the forest covers of Harani-Giddhyashar in Jamui on Saturday evening nabbed a suspected Maoist along with arms, ammunition and other items.
According to Jitendra Rana, the Jamui superintendent of police, acting on a tip-off, a combined team consists of police, 215 battalion of CRPF and CoBRA rushed to Harni forest on Friday evening. The rebels started firing when they spotted the security forces. The security forces also retaliated but the rebels managed to escape. The combing operations again started on Saturday and nabbed a suspected person and recovered huge arms and ammunition from his possession. The arrested person has been identified as Madho Besra, a native of Barmoria village.
Medical examination
Patna: Aryabhatta Knowledge University would conduct the examination of medicine second paper of MBBS final year on March 1. Earlier, around 250 students of the final year students of Patna Medical College and Hospital and Nalanda Medical College and Hospital had boycotted the paper on December 16 citing that many questions were of out of syllabus.
Fake currency
Muzaffarpur: Personnel of directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Muzaffarpur, stumbled upon two youths at Maithi on Sunday. The youths, Suzaibul Sheikh and Alam Sheikh, belong to Malda district of Bengal. They were carrying fake currency with a face value of Rs 4 lakh.
Tractors burnt
Motihari: Suspected Maoists burnt a JCB machine and two tractors near the site of a construction company at Phulwar village in East Champaran late on Saturday night.
Order withdrawal
Patna: All India Central Council of Trade Union (AICCTU) has demanded removal of animal and fish resources principal secretary Subhash Sharma. AICCTU secretary Ranvijay Kumar issued a statement in this regard on Sunday demanding withdrawal of the order to remove 24 contract data entry operators.

Raid
Patna: Police recovered a country-made rifle and two pistols from Dinachak village on Sunday. Patna SSP Manu Maharaj said the raid was carried out at the village after being tipped off about assemblage of some members of a criminal gang.
Protest blockade
Gaya: Residents blocked the Gaya-Dobhi road near Domuhan for nearly four hours from around 1pm to 5 pm in protest against the killing of two sisters in Bodhgaya on Saturday.
