Cardiac concern Goal meet Neuro event

Cardiac concern

aya: Experts on Sunday expressed concern over the rising number of heart disease cases in India, which has doubled in the last three decades, at a two-day conference “Cardicon 2014” organised by Bihar chapter of Cardiological Society of India.

They said heart diseases would become an epidemic by 2020 and advised the cardiologists to remain updated with latest research in the field, utilise available resources and prescribe accurate medicine for better treatment.

Goal meet

Patna: Students’ Oxygen Movement, an organisation working for the cause of students, held an event to discuss ways for achieving one’s goals.

Neuro event

Patna: Bihar Chapter of Indian Epilepsy Association hosted the Neurology Update on Sunday. Neuro-physicians and neurosurgeons from across the country took part in the seminar. Ashok Kumar, head of neurology, IGIMS, spoke on rheumatic chorea. P Satishchnadra, director, NIMHANS, Bangalore, spoke on tuberculosis meningitis.
