Two IPS officers from Bihar — Ravindran Sankaran, the deputy inspector-general of human rights and legal affairs, and Malar Vizhi, the deputy inspector-general (homeguards) — have been awarded with Charles Darwin Trophy by Cambridge University in the UK for presentations on strategic leadership.
Sankaran’s thesis was titled “How to improve the efficiency of circle inspectors”, while Vizhi’s presentation was called “Tourism policing in Bihar — strategy for the road ahead.” Both of them are among the 108 IPS officers who are attending a mid-career training programme in London.
