Patna: An 18-year-old girl was allegedly abducted and raped by the son of a medical practitioner and his associates in Sitamarhi, around 145km north of Patna, on Monday evening. The girl, a public school teacher, has been admitted to Sitamarhi sadar hospital where her condition is stated to be serious.

The girl told the police on Tuesday that she was abducted by two youths when she was on her way home from school. The kidnappers took her to a room where she was injected sedatives after which she fell unconscious.

The station house officer of Sitamarhi town police station, Pankaj Kumar said: "The medical report is awaited."
