Bhagalpur, March 10: Five Naxalites were nabbed by a joint team of Bhagalpur police and Special Task Force (STF), Patna, from Sultanganj area in the district, said deputy inspector-general of police, Bhagalpur range, Amit Kumar Jain.

Police recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition besides Naxalite literature from the arrested persons, the officer added. Acting on a tip-off, a special team of STF arrived from Patna and started joint raids at different places in Bhagalpur, Munger, Banka and Jamui districts with the help of district police force. The joint operation started from the night of March 9.
