In another incident, a tourist from Calcutta was found dead near a railway bridge at Odlabari in Jalpaiguri district on Thursday evening.

Sources said Bablu Laskar, 38, a resident of Calcutta, along with his friend Sariful Islam, was on a trip to north Bengal.

“The duo had reached Darjeeling four days back and on Thursday checked into a hotel in Malbazar. Bablu was reportedly missing since afternoon and later in the evening, his body was found near the rail bridge over Ghis river in Odlabari,” said a source.
