The premiere of the crime thriller Durgapur Junction was recently held at PVR-INOX (South City). The cast and crew of the film, including Vikram Chatterjee, Ekavali Khanna, director Arindam Bhattacharya, DoP Prosenjit Chowdhury, and others, gathered at the theatre for the event. Notable figures from Tollywood such as Kaushik Ganguly, Sudeshna Roy, Tnusree C, Barun Chanda, Oindrila Sen and Devlina Kumar graced the premiere to watch the film on the big screen.

Durgapur Junction revolves around a series of mysterious deaths in Durgapur, all linked to the consumption of a certain vitamin pill. The no-nonsense, foul-mouthed yet surprisingly composed cop Soumya Sen (Vikram Chatterjee), along with his team and under the firm command of his boss Gauri Prasad Singh (Ekavali Khanna), embarks on a mission to trace the source of these deadly pills. Ushashie (Swastika Mukherjee), a sharp and headstrong journalist, gets pulled into the case following her husband’s untimely death. The music — a blend of rap and rock — amps up the adrenaline during chase sequences and noir-style visuals intensify the mood.

As the climactic scene concluded, the theatre erupted into thunderous applause. Driven by razor-sharp performances and tight storytelling, Durgapur Junction establishes itself as a gripping crime thriller.
