Rajkot: Terming Sachin Tendulkar’s landmark 200th Test as a great moment for the country, Suresh Raina Wednesday said that the playing career of the iconic batsman was “unbelievable”.

“It’s a great moment for Sachin and everyone in the country as he is going to play his 200th Test match, which is unbelievable,” Raina, who will be captaining Uttar Pradesh in Ranji Trophy game against Saurashtra, beginning Thursday, said.

“Playing the 200th Test is just unbelievable as no one in the history of cricket has achieved the milestone which Sachin is going to achieve,” Raina said.

Like any other Sachin fan, Raina, too, is hoping for a big hundred from the legend to make his farewell match more memorable. “Sachin should make every cricket lover in the country happy by making a big hundred, then it would be an icing on the cake,” he said.

Raina described Sachin as a special cricketer and a perfect team man.

“What he achieved in his long career is remarkable and he is a good human being as well as a perfect teammate. He is a nice person, his commitment to the game is amazing and he has always been there for us (young players), whenever we faced any difficulties at the international level. He has always helped us”

“Sachin is a player of a different class and no one in the country would be able to fill his place,” Raina said.
