
Calcutta: La Martiniere for Boys will play St Xavier's Collegiate School, while Future Hope School will meet St Joseph and Mary's School in the semi-finals of the Debanjan Cup inter-school football tournament, organised by the Debanjan Sen Foundation, on Wednesday.
In the quarter finals on Sunday. St Xavier's defeated DPS Megacity 3-2 via tie-breaker.
La Martiniere accounted for St Thomas's 1-0, with Joshua Joseph scoring the all-important goal.
But the hero of the day was Nima Lama who scored four goals in St Joseph and Mary's 5-2 win over Aurobindo Institute of Education. Jabin Varguese netted the other goal for the winners. For Aurobindo Institute, Anish Minj and Deep Ghosal were on target.
In the last quarter final, Future Hope beat St James', winning 3-2 via tie-breaker.
