The Knockout tournament final of Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) will be held at the Eden Gardens, on Sunday. Due to incessant rains in the city, the CAB had earlier decided to conduct the final in Chennai, along with the League matches. However, the unavailability of the grounds proved detrimental to the plans.
“The local cricket season is underway in Chennai so getting a ground was a problem,” said a CAB official. But what happens if it begins to rain again in the city? “A coin toss will then decide the outcome of the match,” added the official.
Meanwhile, the Champions League teams, which will play at the Eden Gardens, will practice in the Jadavpur University (Salt Lake) ground.
