“A few days ago, when I was playing for my country at the Salt Lake Stadium, I saw the passion and interest of the people about football. I’m looking forward to don the green-and-maroon jersey,” an ATKMB media release quoted him as saying.

Known for his ability to play on the wing as well as a side-back, Kuruniyan comes from Bengaluru FC which he joined in 2019 from Pune City.

Ashish Rai, another new signing who shot into prominence under coach Manolo Marquez in Hyderabad FC, said it was a dream come true to play for the Juan Ferrando-coached side.
