Scotland might have lost the game versus New Zealand, but their wicket-keeper, Matthew Cross, ensured Indian cricket buffs grin from ear to ear. In a moment during the New Zealand innings, Cross told bowler Chris Greaves that the "whole of India is behind you". It is customary for glovesmen to become popular for such witty one-liners because they're too close to the stump microphone.

India's chances of qualifying for the semi-finals also depended on the Scots outperforming the Kiwis in their Group 2 Super 12 encounter. But in the end, New Zealand edged past Scotland courtesy a Martin Guptill blitzkrieg.

Here's the video that's breakinig the Internet right now:

Guptill's blistering 56-ball 93, which was built around monstrous sixes and authoritative batting, set up a 16-run win for New Zealand over a spirited Scotland.

In all, Guptill smashed seven sixes and six fours as New Zealand posted 172 for five in the Group 2 Super 12 match. Scotland replied with 156 for five in their allotted 20 overs at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
