New Delhi: National champion Abhinn Shyam Gupta’s run came to a tame end when he went down to Korean Jang Young-soo of Korea in the pre-quarters of the German Open.

Gupta, who upset 13th seed Roslin M. Hashim of Malaysia in the first round, lost 8-15, 5-15 to the Korean qualifier late last night, according to information received here. The Allahbad lad had outplayed Dane Kasper Oedum in Round 2. (PTI)
