| The Crysis 3 game needs a DirectX 11 graphic card |
q+a I have a Zotac GTX 650 Ti 2GB GDDR5 graphics card. Can I run the game Crysis 3 with it? Besides this, my PC has Core i5 processor and 4GB of RAM.

The key to running Crysis 3 successfully is that your graphics card must support DirectX 11. This cuts off gamers who still use DirectX 10-based graphics processing units (GPU) whether they are embedded or discreet. In addition you will need Windows 7 or Windows 8. Since the game packs a lot of special effects the ideal configuration of your PC should be with an Intel Core i7processor, Nvidia GTX 680 graphics processor and 8GB of RAM running 64-bit Windows 7. If you want to compromise on the pyrotechnics of the game your current PC specs should do.
Format pendrive
q+a Whenever I connect my 16 GB pen drive to my computer it asks me to format it. When I do so I get an error message saying “unable to format”. The problem occurred while I was copying a large movie file and had to cancel the process as it stopped midway.

You need to download Hewlett-Packard’s free utility called USB Disk Storage Format Tool, as Windows is unable to clean up your pen drive. With this utility you can select the make of your pen drive, rename it and even decide how you want to format it. This nifty program will surely fix your problem. Get it from download.cnet.com. You will find it under System Utilities.
Insert delete
q+a I keep on hitting the Insert key on my keyboard while typing in a hurry. Sometimes I find that I have partially deleted what I had typed earlier. Is there any way to disable the Insert key? It is a terrible annoyance for me.
Aruna Mehta
You need is a little program called CapsUnlock. Its main function is to disable the CapsLock key, another major irritant for many computer users. You can also switch off Insert mode. The program, once installed, will launch automatically with Windows and an icon will appear at the bottom next to the clock. By right clicking on it you can access the various options. You can put off the Insert key from Microsoft Word too. Go to Tools—Options—Edit and make sure Overtype Mode is not selected.
Large attachment
q+a Is there any way to send a single attachment with a size more than 25 MB? I need to send a 40 MB video file to my sister urgently.
Samanway Banerjee
There are several ways to do this for free. Go to www.dropbox. com, create an account there and download and install Dropbox on your computer. Put the file within a new folder inside the Dropbox folder that is created once the program is installed. The file is automatically uploaded to Dropbox servers in the cloud. Go to the Dropbox website, sign in and share the file with your sister. She will be able to download it on her computer.
If you already have a Gmail account it is easier. Go to drive.google.com and install Google Drive on your computer. Open Gmail and compose a new message. Hover your mouse on the clip to attach files and select the Google Drive icon. It says, ‘attach files using Drive’. The next window will ask you to drag the files from the left pane or choose a file from your computer. If you choose My Drive from the left pane you can easily select the large file you want to send.
Crashed out
q+a My PC regularly crashes with the Blue Screen of Death and the error code 0x000000F4, among others. I have had it scanned and found a malware, which refuses to go away. I am running Windows XP on a Pentium 4 processor.

A Blue Screen of Death is usually hardware or driver related. Your computer seems to be on its last legs. First of all you need to replace the CMOS battery because it is drained. The error code mentioned refers to that. Second, you seem to be using a pirated version of Windows and have not been able to update it with the patches and new drivers provided by Microsoft. If you are using genuine Windows, update it immediately. Finally, get hold of better anti-virus software along with an anti-malware program.
