We’ve watched several films and documentaries revolving around the horrors of the Holocaust. Warner Bros have taken it even further to provide the most real accounts of what happened in Auschwitz. The Commandant’s Shadow, is a documentary that will see the meeting between a survivor of Auschwitz and the son of the commandant of Auschwitz. Hans Jürgen Höss, the 87 year old son of Rudolf Höss, sets out on a journey to face his father’s terrible legacy. His father was the brain behind the horrors at Auschwitz and on his journey, Hans will meet Anita Lasker-Wallfisch, a survivor of Auschwitz who was a prisoner on one side of the wall as Hans lived a happy childhood on the other.
