Keep your work separate from your personal life.
Do not let your profession disturb or influence your individual life to the extent that the tension and tiredness of your work affect your relationships.
Have a separate room for your work and it should far from your bedroom. If you can have a separate entry to the work area nothing like it. In case it is not possible, don’t make your bedroom your workplace.
Your work area should have items related to your idea of a successful career. Objects in the room should make you happy, energetic and give you new ideas to accomplish your task. To start with your room should be painted in light and soothing colours. Items such as books, memorabilia, paintings and so on should guide you to achieve your goals.
According to feng shui, a good amount of light and air in a workroom plays an important role, as your mind reciprocates well to natural light and air in the room. If your work is dark and there is no source of air in the room, then all your efforts might get wasted. You can also light up your work area with artificial lights.
In feng shui, the position of your desk is also called as a commanding position, which has power to attract energies in the room.
So remember to face your desk towards the door. A door behind your seat should be avoided at any cost. Also avoid facing towards a wall. However, if it’s unavoidable, place a picture of scenery on the wall, so that it gives a feeling that there is no wall in your front.
According to feng shui, area of your room is also known as an area of fame and reputation. So avoid having blue colour, mirrors, fountains or water images in this area, as water element eliminates the fire energy.
Whereas in north area, which is an area of career or path in life, you can use things related to water or metal element.
Besides, you can also place inspiring images related to your career in black or white frame colours in this area of your home office. Southeast area is considered to be the area of prosperity and abundance, so those images that depict money and fame can be placed in this place. Fire images should be avoided at any cost.
A clutter free atmosphere is must in your work area at home.
Try to dust everyday, so that your workroom remains spic-and-span, and you feel energised when you enter. The dates in the calendar should be always right.
