Bhawanipatna: Two persons died after their car fell off a bridge at Kansbahal near Kesinga in Kalahandi district late on Monday night.

Police recovered the bodies of Sanjaya Agrawal, 40, and Dinesh Jain, 41, both businessmen from Kesinga, from the vehicle and ordered autopsy.

Sources said the duo had gone to Sundargarh on a business trip. The accident occurred when they were returning home on NH-26.

The police said on of the duo, who was driving, lost control and hit a road protection wall. The duo suffered critical injuries in the fall. Though Dinesh called home to inform them about the accident, he couldn't trace the site.

Local residents located the vehicle and intimated the police who rescued the duo. By that time, they had succumbed to their injuries.

"We have registered a case and are investigating the incident. The driver seems to have lost control while crossing the bridge," the police said.
